The BAS project, a partnership between universities and schools from Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece and Spain, wishes to go beyond cultural general representations and provide students with a deeper insight on cultural characteristics, such as lifestyle, cultural heritage and social habits and understand the underlying reasons. The core objective is directly related to the need for a transnational approach, as in addition to the positive and constructive cognitive experience, the mobility of youngsters contributes to the shaping of a sense of place and a European identity through the building of bridges encompassing geographical and cultural boundaries.
The objective of the project is therefore to develop intercultural competences and skills among young people at secondary school level of 15/16 years of age. Building cultural skills and competences teaches pupils to analyse people as distinct and multifaceted individuals and moves beyond natural stereotyping and clichés fostering social inclusion. The aim of BAS is to tackle and surpass the existing stereotypes and to lower prejudice. The best way of doing so is to immerse the students in another cultural context through a series of intercultural exchange trips and related activities.
In a nutshell the BAS “Beyond Apparent Stereotypes” project will provide:
- Four interculutral exchanges.
- A three-part research.
- A toolbox with recommendations for the organisation of intercultural exchange trips.

GREEN ERASMUS is a KA2 Erasmus+ project aiming at improving the environmental sustainability of the Erasmus+ Programme, whilst also contributing improvements in environmental sustainability across Europe.
Most specifically the objectives of the GREEN ERASMUS are:
1. The decrease of the negative impact of the Erasmus+ Programme on environmental sustainability.
2. The raising of awareness across the European Higher education sector about the importance of sustainable internationalization.
3. The empowerment of student organisations to be the agents of change, pushing for improvements on the topic of environmental sustainability.
Green Erasmus which targets both international students/students organisations as well as University staff is expected to deliver a series of outputs within its lifespan (September 2020-December 2022) including:
• A research report based on a widespread student survey
• An online platform for student-oriented content
• An online petition for sustainable student mobility
• A Toolkit for sustainable internationalization for students

EASY-ECO est un réseau de centres de recherche actifs dans le domaine de l'évaluation du développement durable. Il vise à partager et diffuser les connaissances liées à cette thématique de recherche à travers des formations et des conférences.
Le Centre d'Etudes du Développement Durable fait partie de ce réseau et est chargé de l'organisation de la conférence qui se déroulera à Bruxelles en novembre 2010.
MANAGEMENT
La recherche porte sur un rapprochement des responsables touristiques et patrimoniaux pour assurer une meilleure protection et valorisation des sites. Elle démontre que les sites gérés de façon arbitraire sont en danger et que la protection n'est pas forcément liée à la fréquentation. Elle met en question le système de capacité de charge et propose des moyens alternatifs de protection.

Le projet Interreg « Schéma de Développement Territorial de la Grande Région » (SDT GR) vise à définir une vision plus intégrée en matière d’aménagement du territoire dans l’optique d’organiser un développement plus équilibré de cet espace transfrontalier. Il doit permettre d’aboutir à un Schéma de Développement Territorial partagé par l’ensemble des acteurs de la Grande Région afin de stimuler l’innovation au sein de la Grande Région à travers notamment l’identification des enjeux et des opportunités qui découlent des dynamiques de développement socio-économiques en cours et de la définition d’une stratégie intégrée polycentrique et transfrontalière qui doit accroître l’attractivité et la compétitivité de la Grande Région.
L'équipe de l'IGEAT en collaboration avec celles du CREAT (UCL), du LEPUR (ULG), du LISER (Université du Luxembourg), du bureau d'étude Raukom et de la chaire d'attractivité de l'Université Aix-Marseille sont en charge d'établir un socle de de connaissances partagé et d'un langage commun. L'équipe de l'ULB a pris en charge les thématiques environnement et énergie.
