Created on 7 May 1998 by the Walloon Government, the Standing Conference on Territorial Development (CPDT) is a multidisciplinary research, training and exchange platform that includes about fifty researchers coming from three university Academies (ULB-IGEAT-GESTe ; UCL-CREAT ; ULg-Lepur). The CPDT’s missions are 1. to provide a tool for helping the Walloon Government with its decision-making through research and expertises. 2. to organise an annual inter-university rostrum of the territorial development. 3. to ensure an on-going training, based on active teaching principles, of the Land-use and Town Planning Advisors employed within the Walloon communes. 4. to promote the sharing and dissemination of the research results by means of the website, publications, seminars and conferences.
